This boot has room for warm socks, but don't look forarch support. They will probably accept inserts, but didn't need them. Got lots of compliments on style and color (sand). Since the soles are chunky/utility I can almost hike in them and they're not too heavy. The fleece top and side treatment is only an accent and doesn't line the whole inside. Not rain boots, but I did get them wet with no problem. I wanted casual, warm (for Calif), outdoor walkable and cute...got it.
Wears this shoe: Just wore them tromping around Russian River and Bodega Bay.
