came apart at the seams
January 14, 2013
Reviewer: anne from california
The main front pocket literally started coming apart from the rest of the bag. I contacted Trager and they told me to send it in for repair/replacement. I sent the bag to them. Then I never heard from them again. I emailed them and contacted them through their website and left voicemails and no one responded. I thought maybe they had gone out of business. I even contacted the Better Business Bureau, who contacted them for me. But still they wouldn't respond. I'm pretty frustrated with thes company. They say on their website they give a lifetime guarantee, but good luck trying to use it.

A great bag!

I've used and evaluated a variety of messenger-style bags as a carry-on bag when flying, and I keep coming back to the Trager Cross Country. It's well designed constructed of quality materials. It easily accommodates my computer, assorted business paperwork, my pleasure reading, other electronics, and personal gear in a package that is easy to carry and fits underneath airline seats even on commuter jets.

Best Bag Ever
August 13, 2012

This is my second Trager Cross Country Laptop bag. The first one lasted through 10+ years of daily use. It was shoved under airplane seats, drenched in downpours, became my lifesaver when I was on crutches and never was pampered. Finally the front buckle broke and is was like I lost a good friend. I looked at a lot of different bags and while many are nicer looking this one just works so well. I only keep one shoulder strap out and carry it slung over one shoulder. I am not very tall and it is very easy to handle especially when trying to maneuver a carryon down an aisle in an airplane. Hope this one lasts just as long as the last - might get me to retirement.

I love this backpack

Reviewer: Dean from Santa Barbara CA
My father bought this backpack for me in '03 before I went to college. I love the front snap in which allows me to over load the backpack because the zipper wont zip all the way up. Aesthetically wise I love the messenger style. It lasted through college and through bike accidents, liquid spills, plane rides, car rides, motorcycle rides, camping, countless business trips, etc. It FINALLY came apart - the zipper ties ripped and the clips came apart. However, this was nearly after 8 years of every day use. Completely acceptable to give away after that long of usage. I was so upset that I decided to buy the exact same backpack and was ecstatic that they are still making the exact same model. I didn't even throw away my old one that came apart. Never knew a backpack would give me sentimental value.

Terrific bag!!

Reviewer: MacGuy from Washington, DC
I bought this bag to carry my new 15" laptop. I'm completely pleased with the purchase. The bag is very stylish, flexible and well-made. It fits everything I need to carry in it without being bulky and has various pockets for all those little extras. I find it very comfortable to wear as a backpack. It is not, however, a very large bag (which works well for me). If you're looking to carry around everything but the kitchen sink, you may need something bigger.
