Product Description (Men's Timberland Mudsill Low Steel Toe)
The toughness of a work boot meets the comfort of a sneaker for this multi-purpose shoe. First, you've got a steel toe, a non-negotiable feature for the worksite. You've also got flexibility and breathability from the combined fabric/leather upper. But what really sets these shoes apart is the electrical hazard protection feature designed to keep you safe at the workplace. Imported.
Made with premium leather and mesh for durability and breathability, with OrthoLite® polyurethane footbed with Agion anti-microbial cover providing durable, resilient cushioning, an internal shock diffusion plate spreads pressure of impact forces, a compression molded EVA midsole providing lightweight cushioning, and a rubber outsole is slip, oil and abrasion-resistant.
PRO 24/7 Comfort Suspension technology is a unique comfort system that meets the most rigorous work site demands -- 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It helps reduce foot fatigue, support the arch and cushion every step.
Our steel toes meet ANSI Z41 PT99 safety standards and feature a roomier steel toe box than most other boots for a more comfortable fit. Our workboots with Electrical Hazard Protection meet ANSI Z41 PT99 standards to provide protection from open circuits.

so far i really like this shoe. it took about 4 days to completely break in. i went with the wide version and typically steel toes tend to be tight but the caps on these are very comfortable. i was very suprised at how well the slip resistance works with transmission fluid, engine oil and brake fluid on the ground. i would definitely recommend these to another mechanic.

Great All-Around Shoe!

I started wearing Timberland's first-generation steel toe hikers a long time ago, and they discontinued them. I was sure I would never find a suitable replacement but then I found the Mudsill. I was having problems with plantar fasciitis(fallen arches) that was VERY painful, so I needed a work shoe with a stiff sole. These were perfect! I removed the standard insoles and used my SuperFeet orthotic insoles. I also like the fact that they are low-tops, so I can wear them with shorts. After four years, I am now on my third pair, I wear them 10 hours a day, 5 or 6 days a week, in all types of working environments. I never have a problem with my feet aching at the end of the day like I did with boots. Like others have said, the laces come undone so you have to double-tie them. I also have a problem with the sole under my big toe wearing out sooner than the rest of the sole, but that's probably because I'm overdue for a new pair! Highly recommended!
Wears this shoe: 5-6 days a week, 10 hours a day.

Very good quality, look, comfort, and fit.Customer service was also excellent.I ordered one size too small, put it back in the same box it came in, printed out a free return shipping label, and dropped it off with UPS.New order came in no time with no problems.Very convenient and helpful.

I bought these shoes mostly on the basis of other reviews with the most important feature being the comfort.Well, all the reviewers that said they were comfortable were sure right!I saw some reviews that said that people put other insoles in them so I bought a pair of insoles to try but haven't felt the need, these shoes are great right out of the box, from the first wearing. Also, the service from shoebuy.com was great! This was my first order but it won't be my last!
Wears this shoe: I've been wearing these at work, 13 hours a day.
