We live in a very cold climate where we get lots of snow and own property where my six year old daughter is always trudging around on trails and exploring in the woods. After reading other reviews I took everyone's advice and ordered a full size larger then her standard 13. The boots were extremely stiff the first time to put on, but I believe this is simply because they are good quality. After working the material some with my hands it loosened up and my daughter has no problems zipping/pulling them on and off herself. I ordered the chocolate brown with pink writing and it is super cute plus doesn't show all the dirt. They also clean up well as I already have had to basically hose them off a few times! They have good treads and my daughter says they are very comfortable. The only reason they have not received five stars from me is because of the sizing issue but as long as you remember they run small I think they are an excellent boot.
Wears this shoe: My daughter wears them on the playground at school and in the woods hiking.

Beautiful boot, very well made, but my 4 yr old grandaughter could not get the boot on, even with help. I ordered a size larger (12), as well.

Good Pair of Boots

These are good quality boots but very stiff out of the box. My daughter normally wears a size 2 but could not get the size 2 we ordered on her feet because they were so stiff. We ended up exchanging for a size 3 which she could get on. They are big on her so on the plus side she'll be able to wear them again next year. My daughter did say they are still pretty stiff after a few weeks of wear but comfortable enough. She also says the zippers sometimes fall down.
