This is a great shoe. I ordered two different pairs of shoes, & my three-year old had to have these. They look nice, fit well, price was right, and best of all he likes to keep them on.
Wears this shoe: Dress shoes, but can also be worn as a casual shoe.

I like the look, but my son, who has to wear them has had to break them in. Feel more confining than a sketcher sneaker and doesn't like how high the back of the shoe comes on his heel. All quirks were fixed with thicker socks.

This shoe is great for boys who only like to wear gym shoes. My 5 year old is one of them! I normally have to fight to get him to wear a non-gym shoe, especially a black shoe to the point where it only happens for church or some other dressed up occasion. Well, he loves this shoe and there is not fighting to get him to wear it! He says it's as comfortable as his gym shoes and he's happy he can run fast in them.

This is the third pair of Navigators I've bought my son, we've had at least one pair for his last 3 size changes. This is a great shoe because it feels and wears like a sneaker, but looks nice when he needs to be a little more dressed up. They never wear out. His first pair is on it's second round of hand me downs and still looks great!
