I like this shoe for walking, light hiking, and its even ok for jogging my dogs (read: running from mosquitoes). The sole is VERY grippy, good for bouldering, and I liked that the sole was flexible enough for me to stretch out the muscles in my feet without taking off the shoes because I tend to get a little footsore after hiking 5+ hours. These are pretty comfortable, have a fair amount of ankle support, and I love the laces (the won't slip or become hopelessly knotted when wet). I have another, more expensive pair of Patagonia hiking shoes, but I prefer these. There is no water protection though, water and mud seep completely through given the chance.
Wears this shoe: To walk my dogs, for hiking in dry weather on dry terrain
