I gave this a 4 simply do to my personal taste. Having worn Nike Air Max for years until injuring my foot, this is a difficult style adjustment. BUT, it has the width I now need, and once I fooled around and came up with a two insole combination it is extremely comfortable for walking, standing etc. When I can't use FitFlops i am using these around the house. I have not tried them outside yet but plan to comver them with Totes and try today.They may be the only thingIcan use to cut grass this summer.
Wears this shoe: With pants, for walking with heavy socks, standing, etc.

Good shoe for AFO brace December 21, 2012

I have a lot of trouble finding a shoe that will accommodate my carbon AFO brace and leave enough room so my toes can still move. This boot/shoe is one of the best I've found. The toe box has lots of room and there are removable insoles to adjust depth. It is easy to put on/take off with the velcro straps. Good ankle support too. Kind of clunky looking; I call them my Frankenstein boots, but cute ugly.
Wears this shoe: Out walking the dog, shopping, but not when sidewalks are icy.

This shoe-boot was comfortable right out of the box and has plenty roomy for my WW feet with high instep. It is sturdy without being rigid. My only complaint is that the finish is shiny.

I put my orthotics in this shoe and still have ample room for my toes. The width is true to size and doesn't seem to bother my gouty toes. Since I have low foot volume, the upper portion of the shoe must be cinched down pretty well with the hook and loop straps, but the fact that this is even possible makes this shoe a winner for me.

I am very happy with this purchase. I hope there will be the same style and different color of shoes available near future. This is very comfortable, thick sole, and cute design. Only minor point is color. Black is all right but it does not look good for summer.

The high arch did not suit me. So I bought more innersoles. Otherwise the comfort level is fantastic. Light weight to wear. Easy to fit with the velcro straps. Easy to clean. Love this boot so much, I bought another pair straight away, just incase they are not available, when I'm due to buy again.
Wears this shoe: All the time, work, weekends.

I'm very pleased with this shoe. Because of nerve damage in my feet and fallen arches and no fat on the bottom of my feet I have a very hard time walking more than a few blocks. With the use of my own orthodics and a little medication I walked all day in Washington D.C. and had no problems. These shoe are very soft and supportive. Some of the reviews said the shoe ran smaller than then usual but after trying sizes larger than I wear I ordered my normal size and they were fine. There is plenty of toe room and the higher top helps with my arch supportOne suggestion is to have the valcro on the straps all the way to the end. The edges of the strap flare out because there is nothing to attach them to.I plan to buy another style of orthofeet just to have a little more variety in shoe choices.

I have very problematic feet. Extremely wide and painful. I was afraid these boots would look a little Frankenstein like, but they aren't bad at all. In fact they make my size 11XW look almost normal. If you need good arch support, these shoes will give it to you. If your feet swell, these are comfy and soft and adjustable. Their kind of my favorite shoe right now, and I got them for winter.

I like the shoe. My feet still hurt in them sometimes, but I think I might have some foot problems that require professional help. I love the soft leather material that they are made of.

My 90 Year old Mother with ankle valgus dumped her custom made ortho inserts and loves these shoes as purchased. Much better than the shoes that she had been wearing. Lighter, more comfortable and easier to put on.
