Strong drawstring to secure top edge of Mukluk with decorative rabbit fur pom-poms.
Sheepskin insoles and fleece lined for added warmth and comfort. Double-stitched black thick crepe sole for outside wear, durability and tread.
Flat heel. Imported from Canada, the Original Mukluk Boots are made by Native North American Indian Owned Company in Canada. FIT TIP: Available in whole sizes only. If you wear a 1/2 size, order 1/2 size smaller than your usual size.

A gorgeous, but but tricky, and unusual type of boot.

This is probably the most beautiful boot I have ever seen. But, it arrives in an unusual condition. The soles are folded down the middle so that they are in the shape of a long vee, with the point going down. The instructions enclosed say to use a hairdryer to heat the sole and to then wear them a while so that they will conform to your foot. I haven't done this yet which leads me to the next problem. They run a bit small. I normally wear size 10, and have wide feet. Sometimes 9 1/2 wide is my perfect size though I rarely see it. These boots feel both too thin and too short, though it is possible that the thin part would resolve with the hairdryer treatment. I am not sure if the too short part would or not. The sole is obviously not stiff, which makes these boots more suitable for wearing indoors as slippers, but to me, one would be too warm wearing these indoors. I really wish they had normal soles, useful for wearing outside, because, like I said, they are gorgeous!

These boots took a bit to get the right size, I don't agree with this site's recommendation to size down for half sizes, they run a little small, I'd go up a half size. Super warm, amazingly warm. Really a fashion boot as well. Looks great with long skirts. Not sure if I would be comfortable wearing them in the snow. I will possibly try and waterproof the leather first. Highly recommended boots!
