This shoe is extremely attractive and super comfortable to stand in. The problem is that the heel area is very wide in comparison to the front of the shoe. Because the rear portion is heavy, it's impossible to walk in the shoes. I purchased additional padding, but no amount of doctoring the shoe enabled me to walk without the heel staying behind. Unfortunately, I wore them to work, so the soles are scuffed and I can't return them. I had five of my friends (also size 8 1/2) try them on, in hopes someone could actually walk in these beautiful shoes. Unfortunately, no one has a heel wide enough to keep the shoe on. If all I had to do is stand in these shoes, they would be perfect!

I really like the shoes, but will need to put inserts into them to prevent them from sliding off my feet. I bought a 6.5, and should have bought a 6. The shoes are lovely. I may consider buying more.

I ordered a size 8 which is my true size and the shoe slipped off the back of my foot when I walked. I even put non-slip pads in the back of each shoe and that only seemed to help a little. It is a very attractive shoe and generally very comfortable. The heel height is perfect.
