Being a new motorcycle rider I wanted safety and security in a boot. This gave me both! And after a few falls, my boots may be scuffed, but my feet/ankles are fine.My only complaint (and hardly one given the security I feel) I do have to unlace just the tops of the boots in addition to the zipper, to comfortably get my boots on/off.

These are great boots- for either casual or riding- they look exactly the picture- they are very heavy - so not ideally for casual wear- but they look great.
