I have plenty of boots but I just bought a pair of these. These are the same boots that were issued to us in school. These boots are very durable. They lasted 4 years of abuse while I was at school and then another 4 years of abuse at work after I graduated. I ran them into the ground. THESE BOOTS ARE TRULY WATERPROOF; I remember standing in streams of water during firefighting training and not believing that my feet were not wet. After the 5 year mark they developed small leaks but still excellent for a relatively inexpensive boot. I mean how long do you want wear a boot for anyway, they get grimy. It's good to get new ones once in a while. I highly recommend.

I have a well-worn pair of 8" Georgia Giants that I have enjoyed for a couple of years now. So getting another pair of Giants was an easy decision. I bought them primarily to wear riding my motorcycle on the street, but figured I would wear them at work (FedEx) when it rained. Well they are waterproof but after wearing them for 4 full work days it seems the boots are winning the break-in battle. Actually it is because of the shorter shaft (6") on this pair. The top of the boot hits me just above the achilles tendon and is quite uncomfortable. I end up not lacing the last 2 hooks just so I can walk without pain. Also the tongue on the left one was sewn off center so it slides to the right making the boots fit sub-optimal.

My husband doesn't wear steel toe boots to work in and I didn't know this pair was steel toe when ordered but he likes them and says they are very comfortable. They are also extremely light on his feet.
