These are excellent boots, and I would recommend them. The color is darker than the photo - more of a chocolate brown - which looked very good in the matte suede-like finish.I was very pleased with the construction, and there was more lining, essentially padding, inside the shaft than expected. The opening at the ankle was a bit tough to push through, but then they were new boots. Once on, these were very comfortable.The width is good, but on me they fit a bit short in length - I normally wear a size 12 boot or shoe, and my toes just hit the end of this boot, meaning I need a 12 1/2 or 13.

I bought these at the end of the winter season so I haven't been able to test their waterproofness or warmth. They are a very comfortable boot and have ample room to wear thick socks. I like that there are no laces to get wet and frozen in the winter!
