Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width I bought this pair of Doc Martens to replace a 13 year old pair. The side padding was worn but, the soles had many miles left. Initially walking in my home the shoes didn't seem to fit. After a few walks the inner sole "broke in" and they feel great now. The inner sole actually seems of better quality and more comfortable after the wear-in. The tread is a little different than the old pair but, still resists all chemicals. Wears this shoe: casual and dressy but, not formal

Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width These Docs do feel a little different than the ones I've had for 10-11 years already--feel lighter or something. Others have said this is because they are no longer made in England--could be why. I do enjoy the styling, though, as it "dresses up" jeans to some extent and "dresses down" moderately dressy outfits. Adds some character to your traditional black pants/oxford/tie combo. Wears this shoe: work/church--works w/ jeans and w/ some dressier pants obviously not black tie
