 About Athletic:

Get going!
You don't want to miss out on our amazing athletic shoes selection.
You're ready to get out there, get active, and play the game - but, before you do, make sure you're prepared with the right athletic shoes by shopping now in our women's athletic shoes, men's athletic shoes and kids' athletic shoes departments!

Athletic shoes are designed for use during the performance of a specific sport or physical activity. Athletic footwear encompasses a wide range of specified products to enhance the ability to participate in sports. Whether you need cleats to dig into grass or dirt, or a new pair of basketball sneakers, we have the best selection of all athletic shoes. Athletic shoes often include comfort features to protect the foot and ankle in activity. Additional cushioning support and arch support are types of these athletic shoe enhancements.
 About Severe Overpronation:

Although pronation is a normal, natural rolling motion of the foot that helps attenuate shock, severe overpronation occurs when the ankle rolls inward towards the center of the vertical line of the lower leg at more than 15 percent angle forcing the heel to lean inward. This means the foot and ankle cannot properly stabilize the body, weigh is carried on the inside edge of the foot and shock isn't absorbed as efficiently. This causes the big toe to do most of the push off at the end of the gait cycle. People with flat feet tend to overpronate.
