The term fur generally refers to the thick coat of soft hair that covers the skin of some animals, which is used in the making of garments as trimming decoration or as lining in footwear. Most recently, out of concern and protection towards animals, faux fur has been developed from synthetic fibers to resemble very closely natural fur and still maintains the same properties of softness and warmth.
About Snow Boots:
Snow boots are boots designed to wear on snow, as they will keep your feet warm even in wet conditions. Snow boots are made of heavy materials and are designed for people who are going to be spending a lot of time in snow, or other wet or muddy winter weather conditions. The sole of snow boots should be made of waterproof material, such as rubber.
The North Face Brianna II Perfect for cold/wet days

I purchased these boots a few weeks ago based on reviews I read on various sites. I've worn them everyday while walking my dog in the freezing cold, snow, rain, slush, etc. My feet have always stayed warm and dry, which was exactly what I was looking for. The calf is a little snug but I have this problem with most boots. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a warm, waterproofwinter boot.

Very comfortable and warm. My feet felt like they were in my favorite bedroom slippers! Not quite as attractive as my other North Face boots but they are a keeper.

The North Face Janey II Luxe Great boot

I've worn this boot while walking around in single digit weather, in rain and snow and blizzards. My toes have stayed dry and toasty throughout. They also look great with jeans or skirts. These run true to size, so I recommend getting a half size larger to fit in extra pairs of thick socks. The back is lace-tightened so it also fits my wide calves. The only cons with this boot is that I wish it was slightly taller, and also, watch out when you step into tall snow drifts, as the back IS lace-up and a small amount of snow may get in through the laces (happened to me today while I was shoveling 2 ft of snow). Otherwise, I am very satisfied with this boot!

I absolutely love these boots! I actually hate taking them off at the end of the day because they are so comfortable. I would wear them all winter if I could.

The North Face Shellista Lace Luxe Very Pretty, comfy but hard to get on

I get a lot of compliments on the shoe, they feel like you're walking on air! Super comfy and true to size, but a real pain to get on and off! I wish this shoe had a zipper, because lacing the whole length of the shoe and adjusting laces every time you take them on and off can be time consuming and annoying. You really have to be sure to adjust the laces so they fit nicely and look even. But they are very warm and all around a really comfy worth while fashion boot.
