Footwear that rises to the ankle or higher; can be casual or dressy, practical or fashionable. Boots that are designed for protection from the elements may be made of a single, closely-stitched piece of leather, rubber, or other material to prevent the entry of water, mud or dirt. Other types of boots are sturdy in nature, intended for protection in wilderness or industrial settings. Fashionable boots for men and women may have all the variations seen in other shoe styles, including high heels, platforms, and lacings.

I like the style of the shoe, but it should have fit closer to the foot. This was not a wide shoe request.

The North Face McMurdo II 4 stars out of 5

Reviewer: HardToFit from Colorado Boots fit great but I had to remove the insoles because it pushed my feet tight into the shoes causing them to go numb. After the insoles were removed I could feel my feet again. I bought some half insoles with the toe area removed. The boots fit great after that.

Fashionable shoe but tight around my calves making it a little difficult to put on and take off. Also, part of the shoes starts to bend in near the ankle. I haven't received any blisters from it yet but if I were to walk in them for long periods of time, I'm sure I will. Overall it's a really good looking boot but some improvements could definitely be made.

These boots are exactly what I was looking for--something stylish enough for the city, but practical enough to survive the cold and wet New England winters. These are very comfortable to walk around in, they have a nice soft sole. I will say that I have very narrow calves, and these boots fit me pretty snugly with a pair of jeans tucked in. If you have large calves, these might not be comfortable.

The North Face Shellista Pull-On had to sell them

I looked at the reviews as I have never purchased shoes online before and all the reviews said to order a half size larger. I did that and ended up having to sell them to a friend because they were to big. They were true to width but definitely not a half size larger. I am a 9 and ordered a 9.5.
