Cushioned shoes, or neutral cushioning shoes, are shoes designed for runners with normal to high arches who tend to underpronate. Cushioning shoes generally have a padded midsole with layers of extra cushioning in the heel and forefoot that provide better energy return to the body when compressed while helping absorb heel shock and encouraging a more natural foot motion.
About Heels:
Heels are shoes featuring an incline on the heel. Heels could be a separate piece from the outsole or a wedge heel that runs the entire length of the outsole. The heel provides elevation and can be found in many different shapes, including block, tapered, blade, and wedge. Heels can also be many different heights such as kitten heel, stilleto heel, low heel, mid heel or high heel.
