 About Airport Friendly Shoes:

Airport friendly shoes are shoes made without the use of steel in the construction, which makes them easily worn in airports. Airport friendly shoes are easier to travel with because they can be worn through metal detectors at airports without being stopped.
 About Medicare Approved:

Medicare approved refers to any type of services or products that meet the health standards and guidelines stipulated by the federal health insurance program or Medicare. Footwear certified as a Medicare approved may feature, but is not limited to, soft uppers that conform to feet's contour, padded tongues and collars, and well-cushioned and flexible midsoles for better shock absorption with an extra-depth design that offers a loose fit and freedom for toe movement.

Worth the money!! March 19, 2013
Reviewer: OE from Orlando, FL
For decades I have been had a foot problem called "supination", which simply means that I walk on the outsides of my feet. Over a period of time, foot and knee problems can develop. By using special inserts along with the Orthofeet boots, my foot problem has greatly improved!! These boots are the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. The thick cushioning material of the boot combined with the wide toe box make my feet and knees very happy. I will definitely order another pair when these wear out!!

True Ortho Shoes January 28, 2013
Reviewer: CAguy from El Cerrito, CA
I've bought other wide shoes to fit my orthopedic needs. While they were pretty low in price, they all failed in quality and durability...until this pair from OrthoFeet. Truly made for people with foot problems.

Not a slick sneaker but the comfort is worth it. January 12, 2013
Reviewer: buddy from DE
I gave this a 4 simply do to my personal taste. Having worn Nike Air Max for years until injuring my foot, this is a difficult style adjustment. BUT, it has the width I now need, and once I fooled around and came up with a two insole combination it is extremely comfortable for walking, standing etc. When I can't use FitFlops i am using these around the house. I have not tried them outside yet but plan to comver them with Totes and try today. They may be the only thingIcan use to cut grass this summer.
Wears this shoe: With pants, for walking with heavy socks, standing, etc.

they dont look THAT bad December 10, 2012
Reviewer: A.Y. from Springfield MO
I'll admit that I didn't feel the Orthofeet 525 looked quite as good in person as they did in the photographs on the site. In fact I wasn't real sure I wanted to keep them but my spouse said "they don't look THAT bad". They do feel a bit like wearing boots compared to my old New Balance shoes (that I wore EVERYWHERE), especially on stairs. They are quite comfortable, though, so I'll keep wearing them. I had to put in one of the (included) foam spacers under the removable insole in order for my foot to not move around too much. I'm not at all confident that the velcro strap will last nearly as long as my old New Balance shoes did. After just a couple of weeks it already seems loose at the end.
Wears this shoe: Whenever I am not sleeping or working out.
