Capris are three-quarter length pants designed with a hemline that ends at mid-calf. Capris first became popular in the 50's and their name comes from the island of Capri, Italy, a popular holiday resort at the time. Capris are generally close-fitting and tapered, although loose-fitting capris are now common as well.
