The term fur generally refers to the thick coat of soft hair that covers the skin of some animals, which is used in the making of garments as trimming decoration or as lining in footwear. Most recently, out of concern and protection towards animals, faux fur has been developed from synthetic fibers to resemble very closely natural fur and still maintains the same properties of softness and warmth.

I rated 4 stars rather than 5, because they do not have fur, they have faux fur. The styling of these boots is beautiful. The faux fur detaches with buttons, so the boots can be worn with or without to give some style options. They have quite a high heel. They look cute with my knitdress and tights.

This boot was cheaply made for the price, I could buy it for half of the price at another retailer. Not made for cold weather. I wore them when it was about 35 degrees and my feet were cold.
