Cushioned shoes, or neutral cushioning shoes, are shoes designed for runners with normal to high arches who tend to underpronate. Cushioning shoes generally have a padded midsole with layers of extra cushioning in the heel and forefoot that provide better energy return to the body when compressed while helping absorb heel shock and encouraging a more natural foot motion.
About Platform Shoes:
Platform shoes are shoes with a thick, raised outsole where both the heel and the toes are raised, thus providing height to the wearer. Platform shoes may also have an elevated toe area with a separate heel.
