Bunions are structural deformities of the foot, usually in the form of an enlarged bump or a bulge, around the base of the big toe due to new bone formation. Bunions are generally caused by inflammation of the joint and usually results from chronic irritation and pressure from poorly fitting footwear.
Mary janes are shoes with a strap, or multiple straps, across the top of the shoe, usually right over the top of the foot. Mary janes typically have rounded closed toes.
