This shoe fits like a glove. entry and exit is very easy, especially for an oldie like me who can't bend down very easily anymore. But the ankle collar is very stiff, this hurts when I stand on an incline or steep bank...I am hoping this will soften a little as I wear-in the boots. The look is very nice, great support, I like the toe rubber as it saved my toes from getting crushed by a dropped rock. (I use my boots for low-stress hiking and mostly heavy duty gardening. The color is excellent and the value was definitely there. I would give this shoe a 5 if it weren't for the overly stiff ankle collar.

I love the look of these boots. The attached tongue portion and edging around the ankle is a light-blue and blackplaid. The upper outer portion is shiny navy blue and the laces are red and navyplaid. The bottom is black with white around the bottom edge and a pinstripe of navy blue. Interesting and stylish without being obnoxious. There's no arch support and not much give inside so if you plan on wearing them for a while, add some memory foaminsoles. My only real complaint is that on the left boot the seam where the shiny plastic meets the lower portion rubs my left ankle every once in awhile. It's not enough to bother me that much but it's irritating when it happens. The lack of insole and the rough seam that rubs makes me feel that the quality is a little lower than it should be. Hence the 3 stars vs. 5.
Wears this shoe: Walking my dog or running errands while there's snow on the ground.

My daughter has this boot and I liked it so ordered a pair for myself. I just opened my box since I have been away for a month. My only problem is that my boot came with a scruff mark and a black mark by the ankle of one boot. I hate to return the boots but the irregularity bothers me.
