Mary janes are shoes with a strap, or multiple straps, across the top of the shoe, usually right over the top of the foot. Mary janes typically have rounded closed toes.

I really like the style of these shoes and they go great with skirts, pants or long dresses. They are a comfortable shoe, but not enought to walk around several miles. I wished they had them in smooth leather, but the material is sturdy and they are well made. I could have used a bit more length in toe area, but hoping they will stretch a little. I am a good size 8.5M, but a size 9 would have been too long.
Wears this shoe: church, out to eat, special functions etc.

This shoe is comfortable, the only problem is the buckle, my feet hurts when walking too long. It would have better if the buckle was placed lower so not to touch the skin.
