Diabetic shoes are footwear designed with the ability to adjust depth and/or width for ease in fit and comfort through the use of linings and moldable inserts, which allow the footwear to conform to the foot's shape. The flexibility in diabetic shoes is ideal for people with poor circulation, risks of infections, or diabetic neuropathy (a condition where nerves have gone to sleep due to the lack of oxygen).
Drew Blaze Disappointing Fit

Reviewer: BobiB from West Coast
As other reviewers suggested I ordered a size smaller, didn't work. Ordered correct size only to find it felt a half size large and wider. Plus the fit wasn't right. Its arch support hit my foot in the wrong place and my foot slid forward. What happened to Drew? They usually make such a terrific show for long narrow feet. One positive, they were very light.

This shoe fits well on my foot with no orthotic, but on the foot with a bulky orthotic, it is tight. A larger size causes my foot to slip. I like the leather and the cooler mesh inset. The velcro going opposite directions does not work as well as the Drew shoe with two straps going the same direction because this shoe is more difficult to put on.

Orthofeet 525 they dont look THAT bad

I'll admit that I didn't feel the Orthofeet 525 looked quite as good in person as they did in the photographs on the site. In fact I wasn't real sure I wanted to keep them but my spouse said "they don't look THAT bad". They do feel a bit like wearing boots compared to my old New Balance shoes (that I wore EVERYWHERE), especially on stairs. They are quite comfortable, though, so I'll keep wearing them. I had to put in one of the (included) foam spacers under the removable insole in order for my foot to not move around too much. I'm not at all confident that the velcro strap will last nearly as long as my old New Balance shoes did. After just a couple of weeks it already seems loose at the end.

Drew Amelia Not sized properly

Color was actually much lighter than displayed on the website. The true cork color is kind of like the color of peanut butter. I ordered extra wide and they were still very tight on me. Couldn't even evaluate them beyond that because I had to take them right off.
