This is a quality cowboy hat & I have received numerous compliments since I have been wearing it! The workmanship is outstanding! Because of the extra weight due to this being a leather hat,this is probably a hat better suited for the spring,fall & winter. Might be a little hot during the summer months.

I just received these, so I haven't had a chance to test them in really cold weather yet, but they seem like they would do well. They have good insulation, but it is not super thick (the next warmer model of Northface gloves costs $120, and I just did not want to pay that much). I think they will do very well in wind and rain because the outer layer seems very durable and windproof. I am using warm glove liners to add insulation for really cold weather, and because I like to have glove liners on my hands, so they are not exposed when I take my mittens off to do something.
