Great Boots!

I wore the soles off a pair off these, and if the soles could have been replaced I'd still be wearing them. These hiker's have just enough style to be acceptable with everything but a suit. And thankfully they haven't tried to be trendy in their styling. The soles could use a little more traction, but the plus side is my wife lets me keep them on in the house. I don't know what I'm waiting for but I hate to get my new pair dirty, so I'm still wearing the old ones for my chores. The tops have only one wear spot after 2-1/2 years off near daily wear. I tried to buy something different this time, just for a change, and I couldn't find anything to compare. They wear just the least little bit stiff, but they sure eliminate the clutter in the closet.

I am a true Danner customer, and when a good friend told me they were the best feeling boot he has tired on, I just had to find out. It took about two trips out (4-6 miles) to really feel like they were broke in. The first trip out I laced up the top two eyelets to tight and it was very uncomfortable, I loosened them and that made all the difference, the boot now has close to 30 mile and not a blister, I can wear them all day and not have sore feet. I would definitely buy another pair.

Great boot with lots of width in the toe box

Likes: Lots of room in the toe box. My toes don't feel cramped after hours of hiking, even with thick wool socks. Waterproof. Very comfortable, adjustable, and light enough for an everyday boot. If these had a replaceable tread they would be the best boots on the planet.Dislikes: I'm rough on boots and these seem like the tread is wearing thin after 12 months. The rest of the boot looks new.Even with the wear I like these boots so much I bought an extra pair to have on hand in case they discontinue the model.
Wears this shoe: Weekends and hiking. Casual day at work.
