Product Information for Converse Sport Hiker
Product Description
The Converse Sport Hiker features a water resistant leather upper and a removable EVA cushion insert, a sponge rubber heel and a StarGuard waterproof membrane.
The duel density outsole features an EVA cushion midsole and a rubber outdoor traction bottom with an external arch stabilizer.
A composite toe securely protects the foot while remaining light weight and will not conduct heat, cold, or electricity. Composit toe meets or exceeds te ASTM F2413-05 standard for protective footwear. The Sport Hiker features an upper made from water resisting leather and a waterproof membrane lining.
The shoe is 100% non-metallic and airport friendly.
Fit: This style tends to run large. For an accurate fit we recommend purchasing a 1/2 size smaller than you typically purchase. For example, if you normally purchase a size 7 1/2, we recommend purchasing a size 7.

My Converse Work Shoes

I've had Converse work shoes for years and I hope these hold up as well as the others. Two things however. One, these are definitly a heavy shoe. And two, "slip resistant" is misleading, they are a bit slippery if in an oily environment such as I work in.

I think it's a great work shoe. The only drawback was that it was not true to size. I normally wear a 9.5 and it feels like I'm wearing a 10.5. Otherwise, it's a great shoe.

I like the shoe so far but they are only a few weeks old. The red on the bottom is peeling off already. I do not understand why the color is on there to begin with. It is also made of vinyl or faux leather, a fact that should have been revealed in product description. I would not have purchased for that fact alone.
