I wanted something comfortable to wear at work and needed steel toes. I tried Sketchers and my husband liked them so I ordered these to try and LOVE them. I usually wear guys sneakers because they're more comforatable for me since I have a wide foot, and these sneakers feel almost like a regular sneaker. They are a little less cushy, but not by much. They are nice and light like a sneaker too. The Sketchers were good, but still felt like a boot inside, and were much heavier than these Cat's. These will not be waterproof though. They have fabric, not leather on a lot of the shoe. I love them though, and they make work much easier on my feet. They've been good in snowy weather so far too for traction. If you're looking for a steel toed shoe that's comfortable, I recommend these. They do hug the foot though, not roomy like a boot.

I wear these on a concrete floor in a shop environment. They have very durable outers. The footpad wears feet out after an 8-10 hour shift. I have been wearing them for 8 months now.

I bought these as a gift for my son. These are used as work shoes. He has a left below the knee prosthetic and these shoes fit the prosthetic foot great.
