My daughter just started using the backpack a week ago. She loves it. I will know about it's durability at the end of the school year.

This is a lightweight but sturdy backpack which works great for my 10 year old son. I really like how the shoulder straps zip away into their compartment when not in use. The wheels are well designed. So far, it's a great product for a practical price. This comes highly recommended by me and my 10 year old!

I bought this backpack for my 4th grade daughter who has several heavy textbooks to bring back and forth to school. I was a little leery of buying one online, but decided to give it a try (the free return shipping was a nice touch, but I won't be returning this backpack!) It is very sturdy. I especially like the hard plastic protecting the corners near the wheels. That is where her last backpack wore out first. The handle slides nicely and is also sturdy. I like the extra handle at the bottom for when we need to pick the whole thing up. The shoulder straps stay tucked away and protected unless you need them. It has lots of nice pockets and cool storage places. My daughter loves it! We ordered "navy blue" which looked almost royal blue onscreen, but it is really a grayish navy. Not quite what I expected, but nice nonetheless. I am secretly hoping we might even get two school years out of this backpack, which would be a first for us.

We just received our Calpak Impactor backpack. I bought it for my daughter entering 4th grade. It looks extremely sturdy. The pockects are well-designed. I especially like the extra plastic protecting the corners of the backpack near the wheels. The handle slides very easily. The extra grip handle at the bottom is a great feature. The color of the blue backpack is more a greyish navy as opposed to the almost royal color I see on the screen. I was excited to find such a sturdy backpack at such a great price.
