The Brooks Trance 8 are lower to the ground and feel lighter than previoius models. However, they lack the support offered by both the Trance 6 and the wonderful Trance 7. This is common critique. Recommendation: This model works more like a stability than a stability + running shoe. If you are a heavier runner, you may want to pass on this one.

I am an long time fan of the Trance 6 and have worn many pairs. This was my first Trance 8 and it feels just like I'd expect - fits like the older models in terms of sizing and appears to be a nice update to what was a good show.

This is a well-cushioned shoe. I'm very happy with the purchase. It feels much better than the old shoe I had, and it has much better support for pronators like me. Overall, this is a good shoe. I haven't had for long, but overall I like it.
